Virgo Full Moon, 2/24/24

The full Moon peaks in the early morning of Saturday, 2/24/24. Venus is approaching a square with Jupiter peaking that night. As that orb tightens up, the Moon will oppose Saturn around mid-day, and trine Jupiter in the afternoon.

Full Moon in Virgo

Your rising sign will tell you what area of life is highlighted based on what house Virgo occupies.

Virgo is mutable Earth. Practicality, organization, and attention to detail are emphasized. Yet, there may be latitude to flex and adapt to make things work. Themes of service, the body, forgiveness, wellness, needs, analysis, and efficiency are associated with this lunation.

The full Moon shines a light on what is. To take full advantage of that opportunity, we let go of preconceptions and accept what is illuminated.

The cup is full at this point. We can’t add more to it, reminding us why forethought on an upcoming lunation is essential. That’s when we have a favorable chance to influence.

Mercury, the ruler of Virgo is currently in its fall in Pisces. It has a particular difficulty in doing its thing there. It is in combustion with the Sun, also in Pisces, further obscuring its ability. The Sun, too, is in Pisces right now; by extension, it is from where the light of this Moon originates.

Communication of information is likely a bit swimmy. That may be how the attitude of adaptation comes in handy. We can visualize it as a stretch of land with soil workable enough to carve a spillway into a shape that will route the flow where it needs to go.

The Moon’s opposition to Saturn in Pisces at this time highlights how influential it is to have Saturn mostly in Pisces throughout February 2026. Saturn in Pisces is dissolved boundaries, grumpy soup, the hard realism of letting things come, and honoring disparate agreements. Saturn doesn’t float. Its opposition with the Moon bubbles up the emotional duality that comes along with that.

The Moon’s trine to Jupiter in Taurus is where the fixed earth comes in. It suggests there is indeed a kind of harmony that can be struck through being grounded with your approach. It seems to affirm this concept of allowing the dirt track you designed to “do the thing.”

It reminds me of the days of designing BMX courses. My friends and I would put work into building it the way we visualized, but at some point the challenge is to let go and trust it by actually flying our bikes through it.

The Venus Jupiter square is certainly involved. However, I am focusing on the full Moon for this writing. It aligns with a theme already established here: Tension about the attraction of expansion. Venus and Jupiter are benefics. Though it’s a hard aspect, the planets are generally beneficial. So, this helps put a positive vibe on what is otherwise complicated at best. And let’s face it, things are complex. None of us are particularly looking forward to attracting expansive floods of anything. This, however, suggests that there is some positivism going on. That’s nice. I, for one, will be interested in welcoming some of that.

Hopefully, what you built over the last two weeks pans out with good results. The time now is to observe the course you carved and see how it handles the flow. In the following two weeks, you’ll have the opportunity to manage things through reduction and contraction if you like.
