The Moon wanes to Dark during this period.
Spontaneous thunderstorms in SoCal are rare, but not this year. We’re getting hail and everything! Green plant life is bursting all around me as I look at astrology stuff for the next two weeks; the most notable is eclipse season.
Quickly recapping my last post about the March 25th Lunar South Node Eclipse in Libra:
In the Hellenistic view, eclipses are major turning points. This Lunar eclipse signifies endings and new beginnings, impacting emotions, public life, and home. The Libra influence is associated with potential changes in partnerships, legal matters, or artistic endeavors. Releasing unhealthy patterns in relationships, codependency, or superficiality. Embrace change by letting go of past baggage (South Node) for balanced relationships, fulfilling creativity, and inner harmony. The Aries (North Node) influence encourages taking initiative for emotional issues and life changes. However, the eclipse may create a need for reflection alongside action.
Waning Moon: Decrease and Give Thanks:
Third Quarter, April 1
Mercury stations retrograde in Aries. It doesn’t quite make it out from under the beams of the Sun before moving back toward combustion. Expect communication and messaging of all kinds to be disjointed and require rework. Use this knowledge to slow your roll and pre-review anything that is important to you, and keep a keen eye open for how the recipients of your messaging receive them. With this in mind, we aim to handle contracts and important agreements before April 1st or wait until after the 24th. For example, I’m holding off a yard sale until early May because I want it to go well.
Venus Conjunct Neptune, Peaking April 3rd-6th
This transit is singularly alluring until the 5th, while Venus and Neptune are in Pisces together. Neptune is comfortable in Pisces, but Venus is exaltedly celebrated there. In conjunction, their attributes combine to make an intoxicating combination of attractive dreams, mystical glimpses, and beautiful illusions. It is clear to see how the invisible and the visible swim as one. This may open your road to dissolving into something or someone so that you can connect with them.
However, on the 5th, Venus moves from its exaltation in Pisces into detriment in Aries while they are still about 2° conjunct. It suggests novelty and passion flings from the sublime Pisces Neptune dream. Aries shifts Venus's energy into a mode of action in which Venus’ talent of attraction isn’t easily sustained.
Neptune continues to do its thing. Therefore, illusion remains while factors of Venus’ principles engage in actions they don’t have the resources to sustain in Aries. After all, cardinal Aries likes to start things. Stability is for Taurus. So, if your fling can stay connected until April 29th, it might settle down and feel more solid.
Also, around the 6th, Venus picks up a sextile from Pluto in Aquarius, suggesting an opportunity for profound transformation.
Be careful with intoxicants during this time. Watch your spending, and try not to break your own heart. Combined with the eclipse season connected to Aries, and Mercury’s retrograde motion, it adds to the theme of things being rushed and not properly communicated, which tends to create adverse side effects of disappointment, possessiveness, misunderstandings, and hangovers of various sorts.
Dark Moon, April 8
Solar eclipse: The eclipse's energy announces bold action, driven energy, and the initiation of new ventures. However, that makes it loaded with the potential for impatience because the Dark Moon is about retreat and healing. This feels like a test.
I suggest acknowledging the fiery energy around you and maintaining the agenda to stay on course. If anything feels hasty or rushed, one can lean into the Librian talent of weighing options and counterbalancing the thrust.
