LUNAR NOTES, 4/23-5/7, 2024

As if someone had turned on a faucet, things are suddenly busy as before everything changed. That’s how the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction during Mercury retrograde is playing out for me. Things are picking up fast. I’ve been rewarded with the green flag for several projects I have been working toward. However, they were all approved at the same time. These are good problems to have. Time to get on it!

April 23rd: Full Moon in Scorpio is associated with profound truths and the potential for personal growth. Expect deep, watery emotions.

April 25th: Mercury stations direct. With it, communication, reflection, and all the redo’s should start to turn around to face forward. It will recover the “retro-shade” territory until it regains 27° Aries on May 13th.

April 28th: Mars conjunct Neptune in Pisces. If all of your projects start feeling like they are pooling together and losing differentiation, this can explain it.

April 29th: Auspicious election from Chris Brennan and Lisa Schaim: Around 12:55 pm: Venus is entering its powerful sign of Taurus, joining forces with the Sun and Jupiter for extra luck.  It's even better news that Mercury is finally out of retrograde, bringing clearer communication.

This is a powerful time for career moves and boosting your public reputation. The Sun, Jupiter, and Venus work together to make you shine. Focus on your goals and getting yourself noticed. There could be some challenges with finances and shared resources, so be extra clear-headed when dealing with money matters.

The best time for this is when the Sun reaches its peak, but Jupiter or Venus could also work, although they might have slightly different effects.

In short, it's a good time to pursue your career goals, but be aware of any financial confusion.

April 30th: Venus in Taurus squares Pluto in Aquarius. Venus is its domicile, giving it resources to attract and beautify. Transformative Pluto is slowing and is nearing retrograde motion. With this in mind, I spent some time examining the similarity of their symbols. Venus’ hand-held mirror turns into a hand-held cup in Pluto’s glyph, which holds a reduced or compressed mirror. This is a hard thing to face, the constriction of beauty in the tension of the square aspect. The Moon passes in front of Pluto on this day, emphasizing the emotional impact.

Mars ingresses into its domicile, Aries, giving it more traction.

May 2nd: Pluto stations retrograde in Aquarius

May 3rd: Mars sextile Pluto, giving it an assisting push.

May 7th: Dark Moon in Taurus. The Moon is exalted in Taurus. This can be an especially good period to do the Dark Moon stuff, like nourishing your physical and emotional well-being through healthy habits and sleep. Meditation, journaling, and cleansing baths are great activities for this.

Remember:

This is just a glimpse into the astrological landscape. Your personal experience will be unique and influenced by your individual birth chart.

I use a tropical whole-sign / whole-house system with traditional rulerships. You can read more about how I interpret the moon phases here:
